Shangrila hotel Bengaluru celebrates Global Wellness Day by organizing various activities to promote a healthy lifestyle.

Bengaluru: Global Wellness Day, globally observed on 11th June, is an entirely not-for-profit social project dedicated to living well with the theme “One Day Can Change Your Whole Life”. First celebrated in 2012, Global Wellness Day was established as the day dedicated to living well. The observation was officially celebrated in 73 countries in 2015, reflecting its success.

In line with above, Shangri-La Hotel, Bengaluru celebrated Global Wellness Day on 5th June 2016 by providing series of complimentary activities which included outdoor Yoga and Zumba sessions, 10-minute massages, to juice bars and healthy breakfast counters and many more. These complimentary offerings were different yet unique at all national and international Shangri-La Hotels and resorts.

The main objective for promoting Global Wellness Day was to make guests recognize the value of their life and health and take care of their well-being so that they can eliminate stress from their everyday life. Through the series of activities Shangri-La Hotel, Bengaluru wanted to increase awareness of living well and motivate their guests to live healthy life not only on Global Wellness Day but also throughout the year. Shangri-La’s core value of hospitality from the heart included the concern of the health and well-being of their guests, colleagues and communities.
