PVR Limited’s PVR Nest and Agro Tech Foods Limited created a film based health education program at PVR Anupam Cinema at Saket, New Delhi.

Agro Tech Foods Limited, an affiliate of ConAgra Foods Inc. USA, is a leading food company and has been a long term partner of PVR Nest for providing daily nutritious meals to around 300 community children under the program ‘Poshan’.

Both the organisations combining their synergies created a very unique entertainment in education session on the key issue of children’s health. The messaging of the day was that all of us forget to have a nutritious meal because of the routines. Especially we miss out on proteins, the most important nutrient required for growth and fitness. This gap can be filled with foods like peanut butter, which is a rich and easy source of proteins. Peanut butter is also good for adults in view of its zero cholesterol and zero trans-fats. Agro Tech Foods Limited introduced Sundrop Peanut Butter in 2012 in India.

Around 400 students from schools like Banyan Tree School, Apeejay School (Saket), Pinnacle School, Bal Bhawan School, Manav Bharti School and Little Ones Public School participated in the program.

Ishi Khosla, renowned clinical nutritionist and Director of Whole Foods India conducted an interactive health education session with the students and urged them to become responsible for their family’s health.

The day’s programme was a wonderful amalgamation of the innovative and powerful medium of films as the most important tool to educate and sensitise children and inculcate and develop leadership and training on crucial issues like health.

The program was given an opening with the schools’ creative presentations on health which was followed by the screening of the film ‘Turbo’ an animated sports comedy.
